Traditional ski poles kind of suck. They're clunky, hard to use properly, difficult to adjust, and a hassle to take on and off.

Plus, the fixed loop strap often causes injuries. And if you open your hand they fall and dangle from your wrist.

Why? Because with traditional poles, you have to use your thumb and index finger to hold the pole, leaving your other fingers to grab the ski. This makes it really tricky.

That's where Birk's idea for GRABS™ came in. He saw the need for a new type of ski pole handle, especially for a sport that’s all about stylish and acrobatic jumps where you need to grab your ski while flying through the air.
